OUR HISTORY
Cardinal’s story began in the 1950s when Tom Wiener Sr. acquired Cardinal Homebuilders. Soon after, he expanded into real estate sales and launched Cardinal Realty in the 1960s. His vision of combining building and selling laid the foundation for what would become a trusted, multigenerational business. Over the years, family involvement deepened: Tom Jr. earned his real estate license at just 18 and later completed his business degree at the University of Minnesota. Today, the tradition continues with his sister Deanna serving as Broker and Realtor, his wife June as Realtor, daughter Laura as Realtor and Remodeling Consultant, and son Tony leading new construction.
In the late 1990s, Cardinal Remodeling was created to extend the company’s commitment to quality into renovations as well as new builds. With long-standing subcontractor partnerships, the same pride and craftsmanship go into every project, ensuring consistency and care. From its roots in a single family’s vision to a full-service business spanning three generations, Cardinal continues to build homes—and relationships—that stand the test of time.
